Deep down in the heart of the Mediterranean, the people of Sardinia still enjoy the traditional home-cooked food that their grandmothers used to make. Here at Pepe Sale, in the middle of Reading, we strive to offer you several of those delicious, authentic flavours of Sardinia. Restaurant owner, Toni Sale, was brought up on this idyllic island and is delighted to have opened the very 1st Sardinian-cum-Italian restaurant in the country. A finalist in our 1st year of being open, in 2000 we won the Best Italian Food Restaurant in Great Britain awarded by the Pasta, Pizza and Italian Food Association of Great Britain.
