We're a town-centre congregation worshipping in an area where there is considerable commercial and domestic redevelopment. The church was the 1st Baptist Church in Reading and was established in 1640, a time of great social, civil, political and religious unrest. Times have changed and we currently have moved our meeting place several times through the years, yet we're dedicated to the same essential task to which those early Baptists set their hands - prayer, worship, mutual care and the proclamation of the nice news of Jesus Christ.
